The Third Seal (Famine)

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom;
and there shall be famines, and pestilencs, and earthquakes in divers places.

Matt 24: 7 (See also Chron 2: 15 v 6 & Hag 2: 22

And when he had opened the third seal, i heard the third beast say, come and see.
And i beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. Rev 6: 5

And i heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny; and see though hurt not the oil and wine. Rev 6: 6

As history as tought us through the ages, wars have raged between countries since the beginning. In the wake of all wars disease, starvation, poverty and famines always follow.

However, the scale that we witness today is nothing compared to the world shaking disasters spoken of in Rev 6, these will be far greater but will only be witnessed by those who were not saved before the rapture.

Revelations (bible studies) notes: Terrible War

As the Lamb opens the second seal another horse rides out which was red, and he that sat on the horse was given power to take peace from the earth.

This horse being the colour of blood coincides with the warning that Jesus gave His desciples in Matt 24,

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars; see that ye be not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Matt 24: 6

Although we live in the time of wars and rumours of wars, Christ tells us (we that are saved), not to be worried or fret ourselves about this, also He tells us that nations and kingdoms will be in conflict with one-another, and there will be great famines and diseases, at the beginning of sorrows.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Matt 24: 7

All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Matt 24: 8

Countries around the world rely on each other for certain foods and products which they provide each other for a price. However, in time of war when one country goes to war against another; embargoes and sanctions and restrictions are placed on each other. These usually comprise of food, oil, or medical and financial and anything else that would bring the other country to it's knees, resulting in war, and bringing other countries to take sides, outcome is world at war. Also famines and disease on a world wide scale.

And there went out another horse that was red; and power was given to him that sat there on to take peace from the earth, and they should kill one another; and there was given unto him a great sword.
Rev6 : 4
At the time that Jesus founded the christian church, the roman empire was at peace, however, this didn't last very long before it was at war again. And this pattern of peace then war will continue until the final day of God's judgement of a rebellious world. Before that great day there will be global warfare which will cost the lives of hundreds of millions.

For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and the whole world to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Rev 16: 14

Of course these things, the breaking of these seals will only come after the rapture, promised to us by the Lord our God......Amen

A Prayer

As i go walking through the world, Lord, walk along with me,
And through the beauty of the world, Lord, help me look and see,

As i go listening through the world, Lord, let me hear your voice,
And with the wind, the birds, the sea, Lord, help me to rejoice.

As i go slower through the world, Lord, give me quiet peace,
And show me, always, in my life, your love will never cease.

Out and about!!

We've been out in the town during the week and are in the process tracting all the parks and housing estates. It is amazing that- despite the recession that we are going through - we are still finding new houses just about everywhere we look.

Still, the more houses there are the more tracts we get to put through doors.
This is the fourth time that the town will have been tracted these past ten or twelve years and we are already looking forward to the fifth and the sixth and so on until the Lord comes back!!

Baptism of Faith

The service on Wed 11 of June, was a real blessing as we watched three brothers in the faith, give an open declaration of their love for Christ through baptism. And on Sunday the 22nd of June three of our younger brethren were also baptised.....Praise the Lord.

Here is wee brother Mark Cullen being baptised by his dad Pastor Stan Cullen. Also baptised were brother Brian and brother David from Pastor Stan's church in Newton Ard's

Footprints

"I have made the earth, and created man upon it, I even My hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded".

Isaiah 45: 12

Two men sitting in their tent in the cool of the morning fell to discussing religion.
"How do you know", one inquired of the other, "That there is a God, a supreme being, who created all things?"
After meditating a moment the other answered, "How do i know whether it was a man or a camel that went by my tent while i sleptlast night?" "You know by the footprints," the questioner replied.
The marks in the sand could not be mistaken. Even though the man had been asleep he knew beyond a doubt that a camel had passed his tent in the night.
"So," said the humble man of the desert, "That is the way i know God. I know Him by His footprints.
The Lord's footprints are all about us, look where you will, you see unanswerable evidence of His existance, His power, His love, and His care for His children. Of the millions of human beings in this world, no two are exactly alike. As it is with all things that the good Lord created from the tiniest atom to each blade of grass, to the tallest tree, and the whole earth, planets, stars which as scripture says:

He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names.

Psalm 147: 4

Looking around and at the skies, with all its beauty, and splendour how can we like this man say is there a God.

All Glory be to the Father who created all things, and through Him all things made possible....Amen

Baptism's of Faith

On Wednsday the 11th of June the Lord blessed us as three saved souls came forward for baptism and a great time was had by all. Baptism although has nothing to do with salvation, is an open statement of our faith, and the love that we have for the Lord to the world...Amen

Revelations (Bible Studies) Notes: False Religion

Every Firday night we meet around the table and study with the help and guidance from the Lord on His word, at the moment we are doing an in-depth study on the book of Revelations and will be leaving pointers and hopefully helpful notes for anyone to see. All through the bible(KJV) there are prophecies to the end of days, from In the beginning to Amen, Jesus himself gives us a little insight in Matthew 24 verse 4 to 51.

The Book of Revelations shows us three stages of God's judgement upon a Christ rejecting world; first is the seven seals, then the seven trumpets, and the seven vials.

The first seal speaks of religious deception,

Matt 24: 4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Matt 24: 5For many shall come in my name, saying, i am christ; and shall deceive many.

Matt 24: 11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many

One of the first judgements is the proliferation of False religion -Revelation 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Notice the similarity to the description of Christ...

Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.Revelation 19:12 His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.Revelation 19:13 And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.Revelation 19:14 And the armies [which were] in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.Revelation 19:16 And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Amazingly these prophecies are coming true right before our eyes. Witness the terrible compromise in the churches today in order to fill the churches, witness also the gimmicks and pandering to the wants of the people instead of their very real spiritual needs.

While the churches are full - the souls are spiritually destitute, bankrupt and headed for Hell and the lake of fire.

What is the remedy?

The answer is not in a new church or new clothes or a new minister or a new leaf.... the answer is as old as man himself -the Word of God (the King James Bible). The remedy is found in Gods word and then getting God's word in your heart and making it stick there.

A Good Time Was Had by All

Last Saturday Pastor Mark and his good wife sister Monica held a barbecue up at the farm and a very good time was had by all, plenty of good food and good weather and great fellowship. It was a day that the Lord gave us many blessings for us to share with you, so here are just a few snaps of the day...God bless.

First Of Many

Greetings to everyone.

Like the title says this is the first of (Lord Willing)many entries.

The reason for the blog is to allow me to post thoughts and comments in a way that is much handier than actually updating the church website (which is also up for a revamp!!)

We are non denominational -which means that we are NOT Catholic or Protestant or any other flavour or colour of religion. We simply believe the Bible.

We are not anti anyone (or thing) we are pro Bible (and the King James at that).
